Job Summary:
The Assistant Director, Marketing at The Laurus at Resorts World Sentosa will assist in the overall Marketing (and Sales) function of the hotel. This involves planning and organising all Marketing activities as well as working with the sales team towards achieving business results.
The Assistant Director, Marketing functions as the leader of the property’s marketing effort and is responsible for developing and implementing the marketing (and sales) strategy and achieving revenue goals. Leads and manages all day-to-day activities related to marketing with a focus on building long-term, value-based customer relationships that enable achievement of marketing (and sales) objectives. Achieves personal marketing goals and makes recommendations on marketing goals for direct reports and the broader hotel team.
Primary Responsibilities:
Marketing Strategy Development:
- Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies for the hotel.
- Analyze market trends and consumer behavior to identify opportunities for growth and innovation.
- Develop, manage and implement copy and content for all range of marketing materials, including and not limited to menus, brochures, guest communications, advertising (print & digital), website and all related digital platforms.
- Participating in the preparation of the Strategic Business and Operating Plans, including preparing annual Sales and Marketing Plan with Assistant Director, Sales and General Manager.
- Develop and action a comprehensive marketing and promotional schedule addressing revenue and branding development activities.
- Developing and reviewing rate structures and conditions applicable to various segments, based on market feedback and market conditions.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive traditional media, and social media strategy and program.
- Work with Marriott Digital Services to ensure the property website and social pages content is always current, including copy, packages, advertising, content, photography.
- Work with RWS digital services, Casino, Resort and Product marketing teams to manage the RWS and CXM websites pages for The Laurus, and work with these teams on integrated broader RWS marketing initiatives.
- Manage all aspects of the marketing function, including all content and copy in line with Marriott and RWS brand standards and requirements.
Campaign Management:
- Identify, evaluate and secure appropriate sponsorships, partnerships and collaborations that generate exposure for the Hotel and assist in the driving of revenues, reputation and image.
- Plan, execute, and oversee marketing campaigns, including digital, print, and social media.
- Coordinate with the resort's marketing team to align Hotel marketing efforts with overall resort marketing strategies.
Customer & Stakeholder Engagement:
- Develop strategies to enhance customer engagement and loyalty.
- Implement grassroots marketing initiatives to connect with local communities and drive foot traffic.
- Maintain partnerships with external stakeholders, media, and agencies to support Hotel initiatives.
Performance and Analysis:
- Monitor and analyze the performance of sales and marketing campaigns and initiatives, providing opportunities for continued revenue, brand and reputational growth.
- Provide regular reports and insights to senior management on campaign effectiveness, focusing on ROI, brand awareness, share of voice and reputation.
- Prepare yearly marketing budget to achieve revenue targets, brand awareness and reputational growth.
- Work with the Assistant Director of Sales in the preparation of monthly forecasts, P&L reviews, revenue and costs, and/or when required.
Collaboration and Coordination:
- Work closely with Assistant Director of Sales to understand their needs and develop tailored marketing and sales plans.
- Collaborate with partnership teams to create joint marketing initiatives and promotions.
- Ensure seamless communication and coordination between all stakeholders.
- Work with internal RWS business units and external parties in developing content and for websites, social platforms, advertising, PR and marketing.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in Marketing management, preferably in the hospitality industry, and in Luxury or five-star hotels and resorts
- Strong leadership and management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- In-depth knowledge of hotels operations and service standards.
- Strong financial acumen and experience in budget management.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

- Strong understanding and use of all digital and social platforms
