Job description

What the role is:

You will be part of the newly established Internal Audit Capability Building Team that steers and drives initiatives that raise audit capability across the MND family. You will assist your supervisor in planning and executing initiatives and reporting of results. You are required to work with IA colleagues within the MND Family IA. As part of your career and professional development, you have the opportunity to be posted to MND, BCA, NParks IA to perform audits.

What you will be working on:

Assist in developing and implementing programmes to strengthen core internal audit competencies
Support initiatives to build transformational capabilities within the IA team
Contribute to the generation and analysis of audit insights to drive value for the organisation
Help monitor performance evaluation metrics for the IA function
Support efforts to promote internal audit quality, consistency and efficiency

What we are looking for:

Possess a relevant field of study in Accountancy, Business, Finance or related discipline
At least 2 - 5 years of working experience in Finance, Accounting or Auditing. Professional experience in internal or external audit is preferred
Excellent written and oral communication abilities
Meticulous, with effective problem solving and critical thinking skills, and a balanced sense of perspective
Ability to work independently as well as with teams
Proactive and self-motivated with a passion for continuous improvement and innovation
Proficient in Microsoft Office and data analytics/visualisation tools
Candidates who possess or are actively pursuing relevant professional certifications such as CIA or CISA will be viewed favourably
