A leading procurement firm in Singapore is looking for an Assistant Director to lead and optimize procurement activities. The role requires 10-12 years of experience in Procurement and Technology operations and involves working closely with business stakeholders. The ideal candidate should have strong leadership skills and a keen interest in IT domains. This position offers an opportunity to drive strategic procurement initiatives and enhance procurement efficiency.
As an Assistant Director in the Procurement team, you will provide advice on all procurement matters to the users in the business unit and assist to plan the procurement strategy and approach for the execution of the procurement requests. You will also co-ordinate and execute the procurement activities, monitor and report on the progress of these activities to both business unit and procurement management periodically.
Lead Procurement teams fronting Infrastructure and app maintenance purchases
Work closely with business stakeholders from to plan, execute and govern procurement operations
Augment Procurement core team in fronting training maturity across Synapxe and Clusters CIOOs
Proactively guide, review and edit procurement submissions to ensure accuracy and clarity
Coach, train and strengthen procurement teams in day-to-day voluminous operations
Co-front with procurement business partners conversations and collaborations with respective stakeholders to optimize procurement experiences and timeline
To support continuous improvement in procedural SOPs both within Procurement and across business groups
Guide and co-lead self-audit exercises as part of efforts to enhance procurement operations
Advise and collaborate across procurement towers to better harmonise centralised IT procurement standards
Lead and operationalize centralisation of IT Procurement
Support and work closely with Tower Lead in any other taskings aligned with Procurement's strategic priorities
Bachelor or higher qualifications related to business, computer science, healthcare or related field of studies
At least 10-12 years of Procurement / Technology operations experience
Experience in leading multiple teams of at least 5 people
Have a keen interest and sense in IT domains such as ERP, Cloud and Data security amongst others
Leadership, Coaching, Change Management, Project Management qualifications or certificates will be advantageous
