Job summary

Singapore Food Agency (SFA) is seeking an Assistant Director in its Internal Audit (IA) Department. You will lead or conduct audits and advisory projects across SFA’s operations, supporting the Audit and Risk Committee in governance, risk management and internal controls.

You will bring expertise in auditing and internal controls, delivering value-adding audits with minimal supervision, and you may be called upon for special investigations via the whistleblowing channel.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in accountancy or business.
• At least 5 years of internal/external audit experience; IT audit, fraud or investigations advantageous.
• Experience with large-scale warehouse and logistics functions a plus.
• Knowledge of data analytics and digital tools.
• Understanding of internal controls, governance, compliance and auditing techniques.
• Professional certifications such as CIA/CA/CISA/CFE advantageous.
• Self-motivated, independent and a strong team player.
• Strong analytical, project management and interpersonal skills.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop internal audit workplans.
• Plan, execute and deliver audits per approved workplans.
• Analyse audit findings and present recommendations to senior management and Audit and Risk Committee.
• Provide secretariat support for Audit and Risk Committee meetings.
• Provide advisory on enhancing internal controls, systems and processes.
• Oversee procurement and management of outsourced audit services.
• Participate in internal audit transformation and collaborate with other agencies to share best practices.
• Support ad-hoc assignments and investigations.
