Job summary

Singapore Food Agency is seeking an Assistant Director in the Internal Audit Department to lead or conduct audits and advisory projects across SFA’s operations. You will support governance, risk management, and internal controls, with opportunities to engage in investigations from whistleblowing channels and liaise with authorities.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in accounting or business with auditing exposure.
• At least 5 years of internal/external audit experience; IT audit or investigations considered advantageous.
• Working knowledge of data analytics and digital tools adoption.
• Solid understanding of internal controls, governance and regulatory compliance.
• Professional certifications such as CIA, CA, CISA, or CFE are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Support Head/IA in developing internal audit workplans and risk assessments.
• Plan, execute and deliver audits in line with approved workplans and standards.
• Analyse audit findings and present recommendations to senior management and the Audit and Risk Committee.
• Provide secretariat support for Audit and Risk Committee meetings.
• Advise management on strengthening internal controls, systems and processes.
• Oversee outsourced audit services when required and ensure deliverables meet quality standards.
• Participate in internal audit transformation initiatives and collaborate with other agencies.
