Assistant Director, Infrastructure & Security

You will report to the Deputy Director, Infrastructure and Security Department, overseeing the management of enterprise ICT infrastructure and cloud services. You will also develop and implement ICT policies, standards and procedures for the Singapore Food Agency (SFA).

1. Strategic Planning

1. Develop network and cloud infrastructure adoption strategies, ensuring high availability and performance
2. Develop cloud governance frameworks and standard operating procedures
3. Develop proposals for network and cloud budgets and develop strategies to optimise utilisation of resources
4. Support the Agency’s digitalisation and innovation efforts by proposing use of new ICT technologies

2. Technical Management

1. Provide technical consultancy to integrate new applications to infrastructure
2. Oversee the deployment and maintenance of cloud infrastructure and platform services
3. Manage cloud service providers and vendors
4. Recommend improvements on network and cloud services

3. Contract/Project Management for Agency’s Network and Cloud services

1. Develop contracts to fulfil Agency’s ICT requirements
2. Monitor contract compliance and deliverables
3. Maintain contract documentation and records
4. Track contract milestones and renewal dates
5. Review and process payments
6. Track budget utilisation
7. Identify cost-saving opportunities
8. Handle contract variations and amendments

4. Qualifications and Experience

Technical Expertise

1. Proficiency in AWS and Azure cloud platforms
2. Proficiency in network configuration in cloud environments
3. Understanding best practices in network and cloud cybersecurity

Management Skills

1. Project and budget management experience
2. Vendor management experience
3. Risk management experience

Qualifications

1. Degree in Computer Science/IT or equivalent
2. Professional cloud certifications
3. 3+ years of cloud experience
