Job description

What the role is:

You support the development of future defence concepts in digital and Artificial Intelligence (AI) domains, as well as the master-planning of Research & Development (R&D) and experimentation to realise game-changing future concepts.

What you will be working on:

- Develop future defence concepts
- Plan and drive R&D and experimentation initiatives
- Coordinate with DSTA and DSO partners
- Manage local and overseas stakeholder relationships
- Monitor technological trends
- Identify collaborative opportunities
- Prepare reports and manage project implementation
Challenges include justifying disruptive concepts which require a mindset change, take time to realize, and carry technical and program risks. Also, staying current with rapidly evolving technology trends and identifying collaborative opportunities both locally and internationally.

What we are looking for:

- At least 6 years of working experience in technical domains, with digital and AI expertise preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical thinking abilities
- Good time management skills
- Highly motivated and able to work well under pressure
