Job description

What the role is:

As an Assistant Director, Contracts in the Infrastructure and Facility Services Division, you will play a key role in a dynamic team that provides contract and procurement support in the development of school campuses.

What you will be working on:

Assist in conducting procurement of consultancy and construction services, and developing guidelines for the department in this area.
Support the review of costs for school development projects to ensure proposed budgets and construction expenditures are value for money.
Contribute to the development and implementation of effective processes for proper contract administration within the department.
Work closely with contract managers to oversee assessment of variation costs, verification of on-site work, evaluation of progress claims, and finalisation of accounts.
Support engagement sessions with schools, project teams, industry partners and other stakeholders to facilitate clear communication and understanding of contract and procurement policies and procedures.

What we are looking for:

At least 5 years of relevant work experience in quantity surveying or related disciplines, with some experience in team leadership.
Strong knowledge and understanding of procurement and quantity surveying in the building and construction industry.
A proactive and innovative individual with leadership skills and strong communication and analytical abilities.
