Job summary

Join Sembcorp Specialised Construction as an entry-level BIM Designer to support design and model coordination across disciplines. You will implement BIM Execution Plan, create 3D model content, and generate reports from models.

The role emphasizes collaboration across project teams, adherence to BIM standards, and preparation of submission drawings for authorities. Singaporean nationality only for this position.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Higher NiTech from any discipline with relevant design/construction background.
• Entry level experience.
• Some knowledge of BIM tools for design/construction documentation.
• Able to perform drawing and design work with BIM tools.
• Good interpersonal skills for BIM coordination and collaboration.
• Interest in software, BIM modeling, and technology.
• Singaporean nationality only due to project sensitivity.

Responsibilities

• Participate in design and model coordination meetings and reviews.
• Enforce BIM strategies, standards, and quality in the discipline.
• Implement and manage BIM Execution Plan.
• Create 3D model content; prepare 2D drawings in AutoCAD when needed.
• Generate clash reports and other model-derived reports.
• Develop submission documentation for authorities (BIM e-submission).
• Archive models, prepare handover and related docs.
• Distribute drawings and models to relevant users per procedures.
• Coordinate with project teams on submissions and changes; check clashes.
• Any other duties as assigned.

Sembcorp Specialised Construction, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Sembcorp Industries, provides design and build services with an in-house multidisciplinary consultancy. Specialising in building, civil engineering, and infrastructure projects, we deliver innovative and efficient solutions to meet the evolving needs of the industry.

Responsibilities:

• Participate in design and model coordination meetings and review sessions when required
• Enforce BIM strategies, processes and standards, model content and quality control for the discipline/assigned scope of works
• Implement and manage BIM Execution Plan
• Creation of 3D model content and modelling using specified tools and/or prepare 2D drawings in AutoCAD as relevant or required
• Generate clash detection report and other relevant reports from 3D models
• To develop documentation for submission to Authorities including BIM e-submission
• Archival of 3D models, prepare user handover and related documentation
• Drawing production from 3D models and administer 3D models/drawings distribution to relevant users in compliance with stipulated procedures
• Coordinate and liaise with project/construction team on submissions, updates or changes, and checking for clashes with other disciplines
• Any other duties assigned from time to time

Requirements:

• Diploma/ Higher NiTecfrom any discipline, preferably with training / background in consultancy design and / or construction works.
• Entry Level Exeprience
• Some knowledge in the use of BIM tools for design / construction documentation.
• Able to use BIM tools to perform drawing and design work.
• Possesses good interpersonal skills for BIM coordination and collaborative processes.
• Interest in working using software and technologies and BIM model creation.
• Due to the sensitive nature of the job/project, only Singaporeans will be considered.
