What the role is:
The HR Business Partner plays a strategic role in supporting the assigned School/Department across key human capital areas including talent acquisition, performance management, workforce planning, organisation design, and employee engagement. This role partners closely with internal stakeholders to develop and implement HR strategies that drive alignment with organisational goals.
What you will be working on:
- Act as a strategic HR partner to the assigned School/Department, fostering strong relationships to understand and support their operational and people priorities.
- Deliver integrated HR solutions across the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, employee relations, offboarding, and policy implementation.
- Lead end-to-end recruitment efforts, from job scoping and sourcing to assessment and offer negotiation, ensuring a positive candidate experience and market-aligned talent strategies.
- Provide strategic workforce planning and organisation design support, leveraging data to assess capability needs, identify gaps, and recommend structure or role enhancements for future readiness.
- Monitor workforce trends and manpower needs, enabling timely interventions through proactive sourcing and talent pipeline development.
- Build employee engagement and trust by serving as a change agent and sounding board, capturing ground sentiment and championing initiatives that enhance workplace culture and effectiveness.
- Participate in cross-functional projects and institutional initiatives, contributing HR perspectives that drive innovation and process improvement.
What we are looking for:
- Tertiary education in Human Resources, Business, or a related field; IHRP certification and similar credentials would be advantageous
- At least 5 years of experience in HR business partnering or generalist roles, with strong exposure to talent sourcing and acquisition
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across organizational levels
- Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and proficiency in leveraging digital tools and HR systems
- High level of professionalism and sound judgment in handling confidential and sensitive information
