Assistant/Deputy Director for Early Childhood Education Curriculum Development
(with focus on Early Years and Infant)
An established Early Childhood Education Operator is looking for a dynamic professional to join this newly created job as Assistant/ Deputy Director for Curriculum and Professional Development (with focus on Early Years and Infant).
Reporting to Senior Director of Curriculum and Professional Development, the jobholder’s main responsibilities will include the following area:
Recommend and set curriculum strategies together with the Director.
Lead a team of local and overseas English and Chinese Curriculum Specialists/ Executives to conceptualize, develop, implement and evaluate early childhood curriculum, learning resources, and training materials that align with local and overseas requirements and standards.
Develop quality assessment tools to ensure high quality delivery of curriculum across centres within local and overseas network.
Provide local and overseas curriculum implementation support.
Provide support to operational team on new centre set-up.
Conduct periodic classroom action research to ensure curriculum developed is grounded.
Lead projects and initiatives where relevant and needed.
Requirements
Master Degree in Early Childhood Education or related fields
Good in spoken and written (English) and understanding (Chinese)
Relevant experience in curriculum development
Strong understanding in early years child development theory and practice
Research and content development capabilities
Experienced in training and mentoring educators
Independent worker with ability to work well as a team
