Job summary

Empower Delights Pte. Ltd. in Singapore is seeking an Assistant Cook to support the kitchen team and assist Cooks with food preparation.

You will help maintain order, cleanliness, and readiness of ingredients and utensils for service. Responsibilities include cleaning, washing, stocking, and operating kitchen equipment; managing inventory and contributing to menu development while ensuring hygiene and safety standards are met.

Qualifications

• Assist in food preparation and cooking tasks.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in kitchen areas.
• Washing and sanitising utensils and equipment.
• Manage inventory and store ingredients.
• Experience with North Indian cuisine preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assisting the Cook in food preparation activities, such as cleaning, cutting, chopping and peeling food ingredients.
• Cleaning and sanitising the food preparation areas based on company and industry hygiene codes and health and safety standards.
• Washing, disinfecting and properly storing cooking and kitchen utensils and equipment.
• Buying, weighing and storing ingredients and food supplies.
• Operating a variety of kitchen appliances and instruments including cutters, knives, mixers and ovens.
