The role is responsible for managing general accounting tasks and controllership projects for the Singapore Region (Commercial and Manufacturing), Philippines, and Malaysia, and leading the controllership team to ensure compliance with US GAAP, Local GAAP, and various company policies.

This position will report to the India & SEA Controller and will interact with cluster controllers and global teams on projects, commercial activities, and technical accounting consultation.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Perform monthly and annual closing of books in a timely and accurate manner, and improve the accuracy and efficiency of the process.
  2. Understand relevant business risks, perform appropriate risk assessments, and recommend mitigation plans.
  3. Ensure strong corporate governance and compliance with corporate policies, procedures, local statutory requirements, and Vantive accounting and reporting standards.
  4. Lead legal entity mergers and reorganization projects in Singapore and other SEA region countries.
  5. Provide support to the Treasury team on banking, intercompany loans, and working capital matters.
  6. Manage cash flows, working capital, and dividend planning for all international subsidiaries in EMEA and APAC regions based in Singapore.
  7. Prepare business review documents and financial projections for quarterly board meetings, and present business plans and variances.
  8. Support regional and global initiatives by leading standardization, automation, and simplification efforts.
Minimum Experience, Qualifications & Skillsets
  1. Degree holder with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.
  2. MBA and/or CPA preferred.
  3. Strong analytical skills, decision-making capabilities, and knowledge of GAAP accounting principles.
  4. Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
  5. Ability to contribute ideas to resolve business issues.
  6. Strong stakeholder management skills—setting expectations, motivating, and providing honest feedback.
  7. Ability to take initiative, guide, and influence others towards goals.
  8. Experience in change management—leading change in complex, matrix organizations.
