A leading company in the construction industry is seeking an Assistant Contracts Manager to oversee contract administration and guide Quantity Surveyors. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Quantity Surveying and at least 8 years of relevant experience. We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established client in the construction industry for the position of Assistant Contracts Manager. This role is ideal for a seasoned professional with strong contract administration and quantity surveying experience, ready to take the next step in leading project-based commercial operations.

Support the Contracts Manager in overseeing the contract and commercial aspects of ongoing construction projects.
Supervise and guide a team of Quantity Surveyors in delivering accurate and timely contract deliverables.
Administer main contracts and subcontracts from award to final account.
Provide contractual advice and cost strategies to project teams, ensuring risk mitigation and commercial compliance.
Evaluate and certify subcontractor payments, variation orders, and responses to site instructions.
Manage claims for additional works and time extensions (EOT), including preparation and defense of claims.
Take part in tendering activities including cost estimation, pricing, and contract term reviews.
Finalize accounts and close out projects in a timely and cost-effective manner.
Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Building, or Construction Management.
Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in the local building and construction sector.
Solid understanding of contract forms such as SIA and PSSCOC, as well as construction-related legal principles.
Demonstrated experience in managing tenders, variation claims, progress payments, and final accounts.
Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
Proficiency in MS Office and quantity surveying tools such as CostX or Bluebeam.
Able to work independently and lead in a dynamic project environment.
