Job summary

A leading HR advisory firm is seeking an Assistant Contract Manager in Singapore's M&E sector. Ideal candidates will have a degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent and at least 5 years of experience in industrial project management. Responsibilities include contract administration, cost analysis, and negotiation with suppliers, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of related working experience in industrial projects.
  • Good knowledge of Singapore health and safety rules and regulations.
  • Good knowledge on local pricings.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for Pre/Post-Contracts administration.
  • Prepare and analyze cost comparisons and liaise with sub-contractors.
  • Manage contract administration and prepare progress claims.

Job Responsibilities

  • As part of Tender/Contracts Team responsible in Pre/Post-Contracts administration
  • Prepare and analyze cost comparison
  • Obtaining quotations, liaising and negotiate with sub-contractors and suppliers
  • Prepare Variation Orders, claims, final accounts, settlement and sub-contractor payments
  • To assist in contract administration, prepare progress claim(s) and liaise with the Client’s representative.
  • Review and preparing of response for claims and variation costs;
  • To compile subcontractor quotations and submit for review and approval;
  • To review and verify the Subcontractor’s / Supplier’s claims and prepare payment certificates and to obtain approval from various approving parties;
  • Preparation of final accounts and variation submissions;
  • Any other contracts management related job

Requirements:

  • Degree / Diploma in Quantity Surveying / Building or equivalent from a recognized University.
  • Minimum 5 years of related working experience in industrial projects.
  • Good working knowledge in Mechanical and Electrical.
  • Good knowledge of Singapore health and safety rules and regulations.
  • Good knowledge of materials and works for site usage
  • Good knowledge on local pricings
