Job description

We are seeking professionals with over 2 years of industry experience to join our expanding team of Water Quality and Catchment Management specialists. Your role will involve delivering sustainable solutions to the water sector and environmental regulators in the UK to help protect the water environment.

Key qualifications include:

  • Background in earth sciences with working knowledge of water quality and geochemistry/environmental chemistry.
  • Understanding of UK regulations related to river, lake, and TraCs water quality, including tools like the WFD.
  • Familiarity with water quality modelling tools such as SAGIS, SIMCAT, InfoWorks, and ICM.
  • Experience in infrastructure projects, especially for National Highways, and knowledge of HEWRAT or drainage.
  • Experience in EIA scoping, reviews, assessments for water/hydrology, and water quality permitting.
  • Ability to conceptualize water quality problems, utilize datasets, and analyze time series and spatial data.
  • Strong communication skills for writing reports and visualizations.
  • Knowledge of groundwater and surface water interactions.

Additional advantageous skills include:

  • Sampling network design, risk assessment, and data interpretation for river and groundwater sampling.
  • Understanding of catchment management and agri-environment schemes.

Responsibilities:

  • Water quality data analysis, conceptualization, and visualization.
  • Desk-based investigations and designing field monitoring campaigns.
  • Delivering technical reports and presentations.
  • Winning new projects, writing proposals, and managing projects/tasks.

You will be a key member of our water quality team in Sustainable Water Management, based in our India office (Bengaluru or Mumbai), collaborating globally, mainly with UK teams.
