A maritime solutions company in Singapore is seeking a Business Development Executive to identify new business opportunities and engage with clients to exceed sales targets. Candidates should have a diploma or degree in a relevant field, proven sales experience, and strong communication skills. This role also involves conducting market research and negotiating commercial agreements. Ideally, candidates will have experience in the marine industry.
Key Responsibilities
Identify and pursue new business opportunities to achieve and exceed sales targets.
Conduct market research and monitor industry trends to support commercial strategies.
Engage in proactive outreach, including cold-calling and lead generation activities.
Build and maintain strong client relationships through regular updates and responsive service.
Negotiate commercial agreements and prepare contracts within defined parameters.
Generate and analyze sales reports to inform decision-making and performance tracking.
Collaborate cross-functionally to align commercial initiatives with operational goals.
Provide market insights and recommendations to support strategic planning.
Requirements
Diploma or Degree in Maritime Studies, Business, Marketing, or a related discipline.
With a relevant sales background and proven track record and key account management, preferably in the marine industry
Self-starter with strong initiative and the ability to perform under pressure.
Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills.
Familiarity with port operations or ocean-going towage is an advantage but not a must.
Prior experience in vessel chartering or commercial sales roles is highly desirable.
