Job summary

NSL OilChem Waste Management Pte Ltd invites a Diploma-qualified Chemist to join a hands-on laboratory team in Singapore. The role covers testing of base materials, sediment and water, along with density, viscosity, and ash content, while maintaining quality records and supporting the Chemist in daily activities.

You will manage inventory, prepare PRs, calibrate equipment, and generate Certificates of Analysis.

Qualifications

• Diploma or equivalent in Chemistry or related field.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills; proactive and goal-oriented.
• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory testing on samples including BSW, ash content, water distillation, flash point, sediment by extraction, density and viscosity.
• Prepare purchase requisitions for third-party testing services and lab consumables.
• Maintain and update inventory records in the D365 system.
• Support the Chemist in ad hoc and routine testing activities.
• Calibrate, maintain, troubleshoot laboratory equipment.
• Issue Certificates of Analysis for final products promptly and accurately.
• Liaise with vendors for equipment and consumables.
• Record and manage test results in LIMS.
• Assist in development and validation of new testing methods.
• Support the review and updating of SOPs.
• Prepare internal training materials and support training activities.

• Prepare Purchase Requisitions (PR) for third-party testing services and laboratory consumables.
• Maintain and update inventory records in the D365 system.
• Support the Chemist in ad hoc and routine testing activities.
• Conduct routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and calibration of laboratory equipment.
• Issue Certificates of Analysis (COA) for final products in a timely and accurate manner.
• Liaise with vendors for laboratory equipment and consumables.
• Record and manage test results in the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).
• Assist in the development and validation of new testing methods.
• Support the review and updating of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Prepare internal training materials and support training activities.

Job Requirements

• Candidate must possess at least a Diploma / Advanced / Higher / Graduate Diploma in Chemistry or an equivalent qualification.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Responsible, proactive, and goal-oriented, with strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Minimum of 1 year of relevant working experience in a related field.
