Job description

Summary:

The Assistant Architectural Graduate will assist senior architects in the design and development of projects, prepare design proposals, and oversee design development and project management, including submissions to local authorities, construction documentation, and contract administration.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Involvement in project works from inception to completion
  • Assist in developing masterplans, urban design frameworks, and planning studies for both local and international contexts
  • Conduct site analysis, data mapping, and research on planning guidelines and socio-economic factors.
  • Responsible for planning, designing and implementing urban planning projects in the local and overseas market
  • Prepare design narratives, visuals, and presentation materials for planning proposals.
  • Create innovative high-quality architectural designs and design solutions including conceptualization, preparation of plans/ graphics/ documentation/write-ups, specifications and all other project related materials
  • Work with internal & external stakeholders e.g. clients, consultants, contractors and workers on various design issues, submissions and the execution of the site works
  • Monitor project progress to ensure projects are carried out within contract agreement and schedule
  • Attend project / technical / consultant meetings where required
  • Any other duties as and when assigned e.g. Design competition
  • Checks plans and submissions against statutory requirements.
  • Co-ordinates and monitors follow up to authority

Requirements:

  • Degree in Architecture / Urban Planning from a recognized tertiary institution
  • Eligibility for Professional Architectural / Urban Planning accreditation is an advantage
  • Good project management, excellent communication, and coordination skills
  • Well versed in Revit/ArchiCad/BIM, Autocad, GIS, Sketchup, PhotoShop and Office software. Knowledge of Revit is an advantage
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Able to communicate effectively in the written, oral and graphic form
  • Able to multi-task and with good time management
  • Conversant with Local Authorities’ regulations and compliances
