Job summary

Swan & Maclaren Architects Pte. Ltd. in Singapore is seeking an Assistant Architectural Designer to support senior architects in design development, prepare proposals, and oversee submissions to local authorities, construction documentation, and contract administration.

You will contribute to airport-related projects and collaborate with clients, consultants, and contractors to deliver high-quality architectural solutions within regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Degree in Architecture from a recognized tertiary institution.
• At least 1 year of local work experience.
• Eligibility for Professional Architectural accreditation is an advantage.
• Good project management, communication, and coordination skills.
• Proficiency in Revit, ArchiCAD, BIM, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Photoshop and Office software.

Responsibilities

• Involvement in project works from inception to completion
• Responsible for planning, designing and implementing airport related projects in the local and overseas market
• Create innovative high-quality architectural designs and design solutions including conceptualization, preparation of plans/ graphics/ documentation/write-ups, specifications and all other project related materials
• Work with internal & external stakeholders e.g. clients, consultants, contractors and workers on various design issues, submissions and the execution of the site works
• Monitor project progress to ensure projects are carried out within contract agreement and schedule
• Attend project / technical / consultant meetings where required
• Any other duties as and when assigned e.g. Design competition
• Checks plans and submissions against statutory requirements.
• Co-ordinates and monitors follow up to authority

Summary:

Requirements

• Well versed in Revit/ArchiCad/BIM, Autocad, Sketchup, PhotoShop and Office software. Knowledge of Revit is an advantage

• Able to communicate effectively in the written, oral and graphic form
• Able to multi-task and with good time management
• Conversant with Local Authorities’ regulations and compliances
