Job Description:
Responsibilities
- Prepare customer billing and payments, including verifying and checking invoices and claims from suppliers, vendors, and subcontractors to ensure all project expenditures are properly captured and recorded.
- Manage the progress, analysis, and cost management of projects within the agreed budget and resources.
- Extract data from SAP in the process of preparing project cost and other related reports.
- Lead the development of the spend forecast for the project.
- Manage the reallocation of costs and budget across project Internal Order (IO) numbers.
- Coordinate and work with the project management team and other stakeholders to resolve project issues to ensure the delivery and completion of the project work within budget.
- Perform Capitalization, physical asset verification, reconciliation, IO management, and other Fixed Asset related activities.
- Perform month-end closing and financial planning and reporting tasks.
- Review Financial Statements and provide fluctuation analysis reports.
- Develop and implement Process Improvement initiatives to drive process efficiency and cost savings.
- Support Internal and External Audit requirements.
Requirements
- Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or equivalent with at least 7 years' relevant or similar capacity in project and or cost controlling & accounting experience.
- Practical knowledge with finance software (SAP) and Microsoft Office Tools: Word, Excel, PowerPoint is essential.
- Evidence of continual professional development (e.g. MBA, PMP certification or other relevant courses) in the field of Accounting, Project Management and or Controls would be advantageous.
- Experience working in the Industrial Gases industry is an advantage.
- Excellent attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
- Ability to think analytically, conceptually, and adaptively.
- Strong numerical reasoning to interpret, analyze and draw conclusions from multiple data sets.
- Ability to communicate useful insights effectively with stakeholders across all levels in the organization.
- Ability to work across disciplines and deliver priorities in a complex and ambiguous environment, builds collaborative relationships, engages others, and fosters teamwork.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to deliver clear and concise messages.
