The successful candidate will assist in the management of investment products, support client services, and engage in operational tasks. Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of professional experience required, preferably in fund houses or asset management.
  • Must have flexibility to take on adhoc tasks.
  • Full proficiency in English; Mandarin and Cantonese are a plus.

  • Prepare factsheets and marketing materials for client reviews.
  • Conduct KYC on potential clients and due diligence on counterparties.

Job description

Analyst/Associate, Asset Management

Job Responsibilities:

Portfolio Management Support/Investment Research

  • Support the investment manager in the day-to-day management of investment products which includes cash flow projection, cash management and monitoring of corporate actions
  • Trade and FX order booking on Bloomberg and reconciliation of portfolio trades and cash flow between Bloomberg data and broker statements
  • Track the performance of client portfolios and various benchmark indices
  • Perform research on asset classes and securities as requested by the manager

Marketing and Client Service Support

  • Prepare factsheets for regular portfolio reviews with clients
  • Prepare Investment Management Agreements (IMA) for new clients
  • Prepare marketing materials to support the PM and Private Wealth Management relationship managers in pitching Asset Management products and DPM services to potential clients

Operations

  • Prepare data for internal management reporting
  • Close collaboration with Operations colleagues on tasks such as back-end trade booking and settlement, fee calculations and payments, and government surveys
  • Conduct KYC on potential clients and due diligence on counterparties
  • Liaise with various external service providers (legal counsel, custodians, fund administrators, brokers, auditors etc.) for various tasks such as reviewing NAV reports, fund audit and establishing new funds

Requirements:

  • 1-3 years of professional experience (experience in fund houses/asset management arms of investment banks is a plus)
  • Ability to prioritise and multi-task in a dynamic environment
  • Ability to take on any adhoc tasks as assigned by line manager
  • Good understanding of financial markets, traditional and alternative asset classes, and industry landscape
  • Proficient in Powerpoint and Excel
  • Full proficiency in English, Mandarin and Cantonese is a plus to liaise with colleagues in Head Office.
  • Familiarity with portfolio management tools such as Bloomberg AIM is a plus
