Bank of China Limited Singapore Branch seeks an Asset & Liability Management analyst to perform balance sheet and NIM analysis, support ALM strategy, and drive FTP pricing enhancements. You will assist budgeting, target allocations, and ALCO analysis, while collaborating with Treasury and business units.
A degree in Finance/Economics/Accounting and 2–3 years of ALM/FTP experience are required; strong Excel (VBA) skills are essential, and Chinese language ability is a plus.
1. Perform balance sheet and NIM analysis, including asset and liability structure, maturity profile, funding cost and interest income drivers, to support the Bank's ALM strategy and management decisions.
2. Support asset and liability planning and performance management, including annual budget preparation, target allocation to business units, performance monitoring and ALCO-related analysis.
3.Lead the management and enhancement of the Bank's Funds Transfer Pricing (FTP) framework, including FTP methodology, curve construction, pricing parameters and periodic review in response to market and balance sheet developments.
4. Develop and maintain internal and external pricing policies and mechanisms, including loan and deposit pricing frameworks and other strategic/special pricing arrangements, and assess their impact on NIM and business profitability.
5. Work closely with business units and Treasury on FTP and pricing matters, including pricing analysis, business consultation, special pricing requests and implementation of approved pricing mechanisms.
1. Bachelor's degree or above in Finance, Economics, Accounting or related disciplines.
2. Minimum 2-3 years of relevant experience in asset and liability management, funds transfer pricing (FTP) or related functions within a bank or financial institution.
3. Solid understanding of bank balance sheet management, NIM and FTP principles. Hands-on experience in FTP methodology, curve construction or pricing framework is highly preferred.
4. Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Excel (VBA), with the ability to perform quantitative analysis.
5. Good communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively with business units, Treasury and other internal stakeholders.
6. Proficiency in Chinese would be an added advantage as incumbent is required to understand Chinese documents from the Head Office.
