Job summary

A global technology leader in Singapore seeks an Assembly and Test Technician to produce high-quality aerospace products. You will assemble and inspect components, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards. Candidates with a NITEC in Mechanical Engineering and assembly experience are preferred. This role promotes continuous improvement and teamwork in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Assembly & Test Manufacturing Environment.
  • General knowledge in the usage of Hand Tools is essential.
  • Experience with Six Sigma and Lean tools will be beneficial.

Responsibilities

  • Perform Assembly and Testing of Aerospace components.
  • Inspect parts dimensions and geometry as per specifications.
  • Initiate Continuous Improvement activities to enhance productivity.

As an Assembly and Test Technician, your focus will be to produce high-quality products and services for our customers. You will assemble and inspect products to ensure the highest quality product is provided to our customers. You will be responsible for your work area to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the area. You will set up and monitor the production of products in your area and participate in the continuous improvement process at the site to address safety, production, and quality improvements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform Assembly and Testing of Aerospace components such as Check Valves, Actuators, Regulators, Variable Bleed Valves, Linkages, Fuel Body
  • Expected to be able to interpret Blueprints Drawing, Technical Electronic Work Instructions (EWI) and carry out Assembly work
  • Inspect parts Dimensions and Geometry as per EWI / Blueprints specifications
  • Ensure that Assembly work carried out meets the required Quality as stated in the respective Manuals and Technical Documents
  • May be required to operate any one or a combination of the following Equipment including Test Bench, Pressure Test, Patch Test, Power Flush
  • Initiate & implement Continuous Improvement activities (Kaizen) to improve Productivity & Quality
Key Experience & Capabilities:
  • Candidate must possess at least a NITEC or NTC in Mechanical Engineering
  • At least 2 Year(s) of working experience in Assembly & Test Manufacturing Environment
  • Experience in performing Pressure Testing will be an added advantage
  • General knowledge in the usage of Hand Tools is a must
  • Must be able to Hands-on for Assembly & Test Process
  • Able to read and interpret QWI (Quality Work Instructions) / MOT Drawings / PCC (Process Control Card)
  • Understanding of 5S and TPM concepts
  • Experience with and understanding of Six Sigma and Lean tools will be an added advantage
  • Strong team player with good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Diligent, hardworking, and able to work in a fast pace working environment
  • Committed and may be required to working rotating Shifts
  • Must have basic Computer knowledge & skills
  • Knowledge in SAP will be an added advantage
