A leading recruitment firm is seeking a Regulatory Affairs Manager in Singapore to ensure compliance with product certification standards across multiple Asian countries. The candidate will manage certification processes, coordinate with product managers, and lead a compliance team. A university degree in engineering, along with significant experience in product certification and project management, is essential for this role.
The Regulatory Affairs Manager is responsible for ensuring company’s products meet regulatory and certification standards across Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, India, UAE, Korea, Hong Kong, and Japan. This role is critical for maintaining product integrity and regulatory compliance across company’s operations in Asia. Coordinating with the Asia team of Technical Managers, Product Managers and Business Unit/Headquarter.
Key responsibilities:
· Managing product certification processes in line with local standards and legislation.
· Coordinating with Product Managers and Business Unit/Headquarter to develop and implement compliance strategies.
· Preparing and submitting documentation for product registration and approvals.
· Conducting technical inspections and supporting quality assurance efforts.
· Representing company in regional standards committees and regulatory discussions.
· Leading the compliance team, conducting performance reviews, and fostering a high-performance culture.
· Ensuring alignment with company’s sustainability and safety goals by:
· Promoting environmental responsibility and reducing waste.
· Leading incident reporting and corrective actions
Qualifications:
· University degree with focus on Engineering
· Minimum 8 years’ experience in product certification/testing
· Minimum 5 years’ experience in project management
· Good understanding of technical aspects of the products and their maintenance
· Experience with safety, performance, and regulatory schemes is essential
· Strong communication, project management, regulatory knowledge, and proficiency in Excel and MS Office
· Independent and proactive approach to work; flexibility and open-mindedness
· Experience in product regulatory matters in Asian region is an added advantage
