Job summary

A leading banking service provider in Singapore is seeking a Senior Associate in charge of Securities Derivatives Settlement. In this role, you will ensure efficient processing of securities functions while managing discrepancies and enhancing processes. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Banking/Finance and at least 5 years of relevant experience in securities derivatives. This position offers an opportunity to work closely with clients and drive improvements in service delivery.

Qualifications

  • Experience in Private Banking is a plus.

Within Asia Operations, the Securities team is responsible for processing and managing the risk relating to securities & its derivatives settlements, securities transfers, corporate action (income, cash) and asset creation and maintenance.

The incumbent will be part of this exciting function and is responsible for:

  • The processing and controls of the processes within the Securities function.
  • Ensuring efficiency and productivity in delivery quality services to Azqore’s clients.
  • Working closely with his/her colleagues to provide clients with technical expertise and solutions, in a comprehensive, timely and accurate manner.

At the heart of our strategy, we are looking for a Senior Associate in charge of Securities Derivatives Settlement.

Your responsibilities

  • Understanding of the core system and process workflow are essential.
  • There is an expectation that he/she has knowledge of the derivatives products, understands the relevant market nuances and demonstrate front-to-back knowledge of the process(es) he/she is handling.
  • Proactively manages and resolves discrepancies, relating to the functions he/she is responsible for, with internal and external stakeholders, both locally and abroad
  • Participates in Azqore Asia Operations projects, proactively drives and implements process enhancement and improvements, where necessary

Your core competencies

  • Bachelor degree, and / or professional qualification in Banking / Finance

  • 5 years of relevant experience in securities derivatives processes.

  • Familiar with financial products as well as the market infrastructures, regulations and operational risks.

  • Knowledgeable about SWIFT messages types.

  • Experience in Private Banking is a plus.

  • Good knowledge and practice of Office suite. Excel VBA macro knowledge is a plus.
