Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in packaging or related field.
• 8–12+ years in packaging development within FMCG or related industries.
• Strong knowledge of packaging materials (plastics, paper, metal, glass).
• Experience leading packaging projects across multiple Asian markets.
• Knowledge of regional packaging regulations and labeling requirements.
• Sustainability initiative experience (recyclability, material optimization).
• Familiarity with packaging specs management systems and digital packaging tech.
• Awareness of smart packaging and bio-based materials.
• Experience in cross-functional environments (R&D, Supply Chain, Procurement, Marketing, Quality, Manufacturing).
• Understanding of continuous improvement methodologies (Monozukuri or similar).

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, qualification, and commercialization of packaging solutions for launches across Asia.
• Drive packaging innovation with new materials, technologies, and formats.
• Manage development plans, change requests, approvals, and technical documentation.
• Provide technical leadership to resolve packaging quality and manufacturing challenges; drive improvements.
• Lead regional sustainability initiatives and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Build and manage supplier relationships to support innovation and supply continuity.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver fit-for-purpose packaging.
• Promote safety and optimize production line efficiency in packaging designs.
• Drive cost savings through value engineering and standardization.
