THE ROLE:
This role will be based in the regions prioritized for the Energy Collaborative, specifically in Malaysia and Singapore. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and delivering program milestones, building relationships with relevant policymakers and partners, monitoring progress, and coordinating regular local meetings between policymakers and SEMI EC Sponsor. They will also support advocacy activities in the region via the facilitation of workshops and engagement with media.

You are a key contributor to building strong, active, and visible Sustainability Advocacy voices that are valuable to SEMI members. The projects you support and coordinate operate efficiently, successfully addressing critical technical challenges into industry-consensus action in a timely fashion. Your supervisors can confidently assign you tasks and expect timely, quality output with minimal supervision.
CRITICAL SUCCESS FACTORS:
FOUNDATIONAL KNOWLEDGE OR PRACTICAL EXPERIENCE:
The candidate has 5+ years of professional experience in the field of renewable energy and/or sustainability, with a demonstrable track record of project management, corporate and government stakeholder engagement, and communications.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills and be able to coordinate activity with a high level of technical detail. The position is customer-facing and requires an individual with strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written, and a desire to provide world-class customer service. A technical background is helpful but not required if the candidate has the desire to learn about technologies and issues related to the Sustainability community.

Aiming to reduce global semiconductor ecosystem carbon emissions, SEMI and the Semiconductor Climate Consortium (SCC) have created the Energy Collaborative (EC) to understand and clear roadblocks to the installation of low-carbon energy sources in the Asia-Pacific region. The EC, a collective of industry leaders, will provide a consolidated view of priorities for low-carbon energy in the region.
