A leading media organization is seeking an Asia Energy Correspondent to report on the oil and gas sector in Singapore. The ideal candidate will have experience in journalism with a focus on energy, capable of creating high-impact stories and engaging digital content. Strong English proficiency and journalistic skills are essential. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to important coverage of energy security and geopolitics in Asia.

Upstream provides exclusive insight into global oil and gas companies' exploration and production operators, and we have expanded and improved our coverage of the energy sector's low carbon projects including carbon capture, hydrogen and offshore wind projects.
We are searching for an outstanding journalist to join our global news team as an Asia Energy Correspondent.
Upstream’s preference is for a local or expat journalist to work in our Shanghai office, though we will consider basing this role in Singapore.
Your strategic role:
The Asia Energy Correspondent will report on and write about companies involved in the region’s oil and gas sector, covering topics such as exploration and production, field development, liquefied natural gas and carbon capture and storage (CCS). The journalist also will cover important energy security, geopolitics and policy developments.
