Strategy
Formulates 5-year regional/country strategic plans, with a clear understanding of the economic and industrial trends of the market (including customer needs and competitor offerings) to secure Thales’ position and growth in the market.
Evaluates the accessible market for each product line, identifies growth opportunities (organic and inorganic), and prepares reports and recommendations for management review and action.
Identifies, in close coordination with the sales team, the relevant go-to-market strategies to increase the probability of success.
Contributes to promoting the region’s markets within the Group to attract Global Business Unit (GBU) and exporting units’ interest and to grow their local presence.
Manages interfaces with GBUs and exporting units with business stakes in the country, contributing to their strategic business plans, including industrial localisation and related action plans.
Provides operational support for the delivery of strategic actions such as partnerships, mergers, and acquisitions. Leads or co-leads specific actions as applicable, in coordination with other Group units and functions.
Manages country reporting to Group Corporate and GBUs, and channels feedback to country management.
Marketing
Makes use of business intelligence data on market segments or geographical organizations.
Supports promotional actions for Key Account Managers (KAMs) and sales forces during the upstream opportunity phase, up to the designation of a capture leader.
Understands customer missions, operational environments, and priorities; broadens understanding of Thales solutions related to customer missions; and provides customer/market information to the marketing function.
In conjunction with KAMs and the sales team, contributes to defining the best solutions (product/system/service) to address customer needs during the upstream phase. Facilitates the development of value proposition pitches.
Supports marketing, business development, and commercial teams in promotion and marketing activities.
