Job summary

Morgan Stanley is seeking a Research Associate for the ASEAN Equity Research team in Singapore. You will build earnings models, analyze financials, and develop actionable insights across Energy, Power and Infrastructure sectors.

The role requires collaboration with global teams and proactive data-driven analysis. Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's degree with at least 1 year in equity research or relevant experience, and are proficient in Excel, Python, and modern research tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or above.
• At least 1 year of equity research or relevant industry experience preferred (buy-side, consulting, or operating experience also considered).
• Solid grounding in financial modeling and accounting fundamentals.
• Comfort with Excel, Python, AI assistants, Bloomberg/FactSet, and alternative data sources.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain earnings models and financial analysis, using automation and AI tools where useful.
• Stay on top of global sector news and communicate read-through and implications for covered companies.
• Develop differentiated, non-consensus insights and translate them into clear research reports.
• Respond quickly to data and analysis requests from internal and external clients.
• Support the Analyst in client-facing work: marketing materials, meeting prep, and direct client interaction.
• Exercise editorial judgment on written output to ensure analytical value and a clear point of view.
