Job description

3 Month Contract

We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Temporary Accounts Payable (AP) Support Staff to assist the finance team. This 3-month contract role focuses on invoice processing, payment support, and AP record maintenance to ensure timely and accurate financial operations.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Invoice Processing: Review, verify, and enter supplier invoices in accordance with company policies.
  • Document Matching: Match invoices with purchase orders and delivery receipts for validation and approval.
  • Payment Support: Assist with the preparation of weekly payment runs, including batch listing and documentation.
  • Vendor Reconciliation: Perform vendor statement reconciliations and follow up on discrepancies.
  • Filing & Documentation: Maintain proper filing and record-keeping of AP documents, both digital and physical.
  • Ad Hoc Tasks: Provide support for month-end close activities and other administrative duties as assigned.

Qualification and experience:

  • Education: Diploma/Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Experience: Prior AP or accounting support experience is preferred but not mandatory.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with ERP systems is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
  • Ability to manage time and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Team player with a positive working attitude.
  • Availability: Able to start immediately or on short notice.
