Job summary

Kaplan Higher Education Academy PTE. LTD. is seeking an AI Engineer to join our IT team in Singapore. You will build AI prototypes and production features, integrating LLMs via OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, Amazon Bedrock, or similar services, and develop backend APIs using Python and TypeScript.

Fresh graduates or engineers with up to two years of experience will gain hands-on exposure to RAG, embeddings, vector search, and tool calling, while ensuring quality, reliability and safety across deployments.

Qualifications

• Fresh graduate or up to two years of relevant experience.
• Strong Python and software engineering fundamentals.
• Exposure to generative AI and LLM applications.
• Understanding of APIs, databases and Git.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms is desirable.
• React or Next.js experience is an advantage.
• Internships, university projects and strong personal AI projects are considered relevant experience.

THE ROLE: AI Engineer

Join our IT team and help build practical AI solutions that turn emerging technologies into real-world applications. As an AI Engineer , you will work hands-on with large language models (LLMs), APIs and modern cloud technologies to develop and support AI-enabled applications.

This is an exciting opportunity for a fresh graduate or early-career engineer who is keen to deepen their technical skills, experiment with the latest developments in generative AI, and gain practical experience building AI solutions from prototype through to production.
