Position: Area Sales Manager - B2B

Location: Trichy, Tamil Nadu, India

Reporting To: Regional Sales Manager

Division: Foods, Masterline Business

Role Purpose

To manage the Masterline Business in Trichy, focusing on market expansion, distribution, infrastructure, and customer engagement to drive sales and growth in high-potential areas.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Achieve volume targets for Bunge Specialty Fats & Masterline.
  2. Expand buying outlets and implement automation at distributor and field force levels.
  3. Manage commercial controls, AR, and NDCs.
  4. Enhance DSM and field force efficiency.
  5. Build strong relationships with distributors and key accounts.
  6. Monitor and analyze buying patterns; develop strategies for low-performing products and areas.
  7. Drive secondary sales and accurate sales forecasting (90-95%).
Key Requirements
  • Strong market and trade knowledge, rural area expertise.
  • Minimum 6-8 years FMCG experience, with 3-4 years in food/commodity institutional sales.
  • Proficiency in execution, data analysis, and computer skills, especially MS Excel.
  • Leadership and team management skills.
  • Willingness to travel across designated areas.
Key Relationships
  • External: Distributors, suppliers, channel partners.
  • Internal: Sales teams, manufacturing, HR, finance, R&D.
