A retail company in Singapore is seeking an Area Manager to ensure operational excellence, drive sales growth, and enhance customer satisfaction across multiple retail stores. The ideal candidate will lead a team of Store Managers, optimize inventory management, and maintain adherence to quality standards. This role requires strong leadership and analytical skills to achieve business objectives.
The Area Manager is responsible for the overall operational excellence, sales performance, profitability, and customer satisfaction across a cluster of retail stores. This role involves leading, coaching, and developing a team of store managers to achieve business objectives, uphold brand standards, and ensure a seamless customer experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Oversight & Standards: Oversee the day-to-day operations of assigned retail outlets. Ensure strict adherence to company policies, operational procedures, and service standards across all stores. This includes maintaining cleanliness, security, and upholding brand image.
Sales Growth & Profitability: Drive sales growth and enhance profitability for each store under your purview. Analyze sales data, identify trends, and implement strategies to capitalize on opportunities while effectively managing operational costs such as labor, utilities, and inventory shrinkage.
Team Leadership & Development: Lead, train, mentor, and motivate a team of Store Managers and their respective store teams. Conduct performance appraisals, provide constructive feedback, and identify development opportunities to foster a high-performing and positive work environment.
Customer Experience Excellence: Champion a customer-centric approach to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction across all outlets. Address customer feedback promptly and effectively, and implement initiatives for continuous improvement in service delivery.
Inventory & Merchandising Management: Oversee efficient inventory levels, ordering processes, and stock rotation to minimize waste and optimize product availability. Ensure effective merchandising and planogram compliance to maximize product visibility and sales potential.
Performance Analysis & Reporting: Analyze sales and operational data to prepare and present regular performance reports to senior management. Highlight key metrics, achievements, and areas for improvement, using data to inform strategic decisions.
Compliance & Quality Assurance: Ensure all assigned stores comply with health, safety, hygiene, and relevant regulatory standards. Conduct regular audits and checks to maintain high quality across all aspects of store operations.
