Summary:
As the Area Logistics Officer/Snr Officer/Asst Manager, you will manage dry equipment assets, flow and related operations in the region. You should have the ability to work and handle pressure in a dynamic and fast paced environment with strong analytical and communication skills.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Manage overall dry equipment inventory in Asia region under the broad direction of Head Office Logistics department.
  • Plan, optimize and direct dry equipment flow to support deficit areas (incl. surplus and transshipment hubs) to support export demand.
  • Manage all idle container asset in the region (including damaged, sale/off-hire candidates) to reduce operating cost.
  • Liaise with Procurement team on SLA (terms & conditions) for storage space
  • Work with agencies and Lines cargo flow / ship managers to maximize empty loading, i.e. space requisition, track loading and corrective actions for any deviation.
  • Any other equipment task assigned by supervisors
  • Diploma/Degree Holder from any relevant disciplines
  • Candidates with 5 years’ of experience in shipping and equipment operations are preferred but application is open to non-experienced candidates too
  • Proficiency in MS Excel (Macro, Vlookup and Pivot Table) will be highly preferred
  • Strong communication and analytical skills with an eye for detail and comfortable working with complex numbers
