Job summary

A leading construction firm in Singapore is seeking a skilled designer to create and maintain architectural drawings, support project development, and provide interior design consultation. The ideal candidate should be proficient in design software such as AutoCAD and Revit, have excellent communication skills, and be able to work independently. Immediate availability is preferred.

Job description

1. Drawing Creation & Maintenance:

Create, update, and maintain project drawings, including architectural working drawings, shop, schematic, as-built, and technical drawings for submission, tender, and construction purposes.

2. Project Support:

Assist in project design and development based on customer requirements.

Collaborate with the Person In Charge (PIC) to develop project plans, ensuring adherence to budget and schedule.

Propose effective design solutions to meet project goals and suggest improvements to existing designs.

3. Documentation & Quality Control:

Develop design documentation, technical specifications, and related project documents.

Manage change orders, maintain proper document filing, and oversee documentation accuracy.

Review rough sketches with the engineering team for accuracy.

4. Design & Technical Expertise:

Prepare 2D & 3D design layouts, sketches, blueprints, and other drawings per company standards and client needs.

Identify operational issues and redesign products to enhance functionality.

Stay updated with the latest design technologies and techniques.

5. Interior Design Consultation:

Advise clients on space planning, layout, furnishings, equipment, and color coordination.

Responsibilities

Proficient in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, V-Ray, Photoshop, and familiar with 3D modeling tools.

Must be able to communicate in English and meet deadlines.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and complete tasks within given timeframes.

Computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Immediate or short notice availability is preferred.

Perform other duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor.
