Architectural Drafter

Job Description

1. Report to Project Manager the progress of architectural work.
2. Interpret construction drawings for any discrepancies and propose alternative material/work methods for architectural work.
3. Understand specifications, drawings, scope, and sequence of work.
4. Develop a schedule program for the commencement and completion of all architectural works to tie in with the master schedule.
5. Coordinate, monitor, and control Architectural subcontractor’s progress and quality of work, ensuring quality assurance.
6. Coordinate subcontractors’ work to avoid conflicts amongst different subcontractors.
7. Liaise with suppliers on items needed for the project and plan the delivery schedule to ensure timely delivery of materials to site.
8. Submit materials, shop drawings, and method statements to consultants for approval before commencement of work.
9. Arrange for architectural samples and testing for consultant’s approval. Liaise with consultants to resolve technical and detailing issues.
10. Assist Project Manager in the compilation of handing-over documents, including as-built drawings.

General Requirements

1. Diploma/Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture or equivalent.
2. Minimum 3 years of Architectural Drafter experience in the Construction Sector.
3. Ability to use AutoCAD, Revit, BIM, Microsoft Project, and other digital tools.
4. Good communication and analytical skills, with the ability to interact with people at all levels.
5. Bilingual in English & Mandarin to communicate with Chinese-speaking counterparts.
