Job summary

Job Opening: Architect (Marine Construction)

Project Duration: Contract-based (approximately 27 months until project completion)

Location: Changi Naval Base

Work Schedule: 5.5 days/week, 8am to 5pm, with alternate Saturday full day

Salary Range: $4000 to $6000 (based on experience)

Qualifications:

  • Degree/master's in architectural engineering, design, or a related field, recognized by the Board of Architects
  • At least 3 years of experience in marine construction or related construction companies is preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, MS Project, AutoCAD, BIM, Revit, or other design software
  • Minimum of three years post-graduate experience in a related field

Job Responsibilities:

  • Review and compile architectural drawings, ensuring alignment with structural, mechanical, and electrical components
  • Ensure all plans comply with government health and safety regulations
  • Attend progress meetings with clients and consultants
  • Support submission of architectural drawings, material samples, and method statements
  • Plan and coordinate on-site architectural work for timely execution
  • Liaise with project team and clients to resolve discrepancies and update on milestones
  • Produce detailed reports as required
  • Utilize software for simulating architectural designs
  • Verify and validate onsite work against plans and designs
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support project delivery
