Job summary

The Internal Security Department (ISD) of MHA is seeking an Applied R&D Engineer to lead research efforts, develop prototype software for Windows, Linux, Android and iOS, and design hardware prototypes. You will engage with partners and conduct field trials, contributing to strategic planning and security-related innovations.

The role requires strong research experience, programming and scripting skills, and the ability to work independently and in teams in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in research, especially evaluation research, is preferred.
• Expertise in quantitative research methods and analysis is preferred.
• Skills in programming, coding and scripting

Responsibilities

• Conduct pioneering research and develop new capabilities, and review or refine existing programmes, operations, procedures and systems.
• Develop prototype software and applications for Windows, Linux, Android and iOS.
• Design and build hardware prototypes.
• Engage partners and stakeholders to scope research objectives, propose plans, conduct trials and report findings for strategic planning.
• Manage research collaborations and conduct field trials with overseas and local institutions/vendors on research projects
