Job summary

ByteDance’s BytePlus Team is seeking a seasoned solutions architect to guide enterprise customers through complex cloud environments, migrations, and deployments.

You will build long-term relationships, provide technical leadership, and own projects end-to-end while staying current with cloud and AI/ML trends.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science or a related technical field.
• At least 5 years of related work experience, preferably as solution architect or pre-sales solution engineer.

Responsibilities

• Proactive Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key stakeholders at customer organizations; serve as the primary contact for technical issues and escalations.
• Technical Guidance and Support: Provide expert guidance on solution architecture, best practices, and optimization strategies; assist customers in designing, deploying, and troubleshooting complex cloud environments.
• Project Management & Ownership: Plan and execute migration, deployment, and expansion projects; monitor progress and deliver updates to stakeholders; own projects for on-time delivery.
• Thought leadership: Stay updated with cloud and AI/ML technologies; contribute to best practices, industry insights, and technical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Proactive Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key stakeholders at customer organizations. Serve as the primary point of contact for technical issues and escalations. In addition, identify and recommend solutions to address customers' evolving needs and challenges.
• Technical Guidance and Support: Provide expert guidance on solution architecture, best practices, and optimization strategies. Assist customers in designing, deploying, and troubleshooting complex cloud environments. Also conduct regular workshops and trainings, technical reviews and health checks to ensure optimal performance.
• Project Management & Ownership: Collaborate with customers to plan and execute migration, deployment, and expansion projects. Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to stakeholders. Take ownership of the projects for on-time delivery.
• Thought leadership: Stay up-to-date with the latest cloud and AI/ML technologies and industry trends. Contribute to the development of best practices, industry insight articles, and technical documentation.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or above in Engineering, Computer Science, or a relevant technical field.
• At least 5 years of related work experience, preferably in the role of solution architect or pre-sales solution engineering.

Preferred Qualifications

• Deep product understanding in several of the following cloud products: IaaS basics (VMs, VPC, LB, etc), Organization and Landing Zone, Cloud Native - K8s (cloud products & open-source projects), Prometheus, CI/CD, Database - SQL (mySQL, PostgreSQL), MongoDB, RDBMS, Big Data - data warehousing, datalake, ETL & ELT, Hadoop & Spark, AI/ML platforms - MLOps, CV, NLP, LLM, Multi-cloud migration.
• Industry experience working with DNBs, ISVs and SIs in verticals like E-commerce, Media, Entertainment, Gaming, Education, etc. is a plus.
• Can-do attitude, self-starter, ability to work independently and highly motivated.
