Job summary

Synopsys Singapore invites a highly skilled optics/photonics professional to join our team, driving technical support for Ansys Lumerical customers and channel partners. You will own customer problems, deliver comprehensive solutions through the sales lifecycle, and lead training sessions while scoping professional services projects.

You will gather requirements, influence product enhancements, test software releases, and contribute to the knowledge base.

Qualifications

• PhD or Master’s degree in Silicon Photonics, PIC or Optoelectronics.
• Solid knowledge of optical and photonics theory with practical application in simulation environments.
• Experience in PIC design, semiconductor processes, or photonics simulations (e.g., Lumerical, FDTD).
• Familiarity with Ansys Lumerical or other commercial optical/photonics simulation tools.
• Strong problem-solving skills; able to address complex engineering challenges.
• Proficiency in English and at least one local language (Singapore or Malaysia).
• Willingness to travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Applying your deep optics and photonics engineering expertise to provide high-level technical support for Ansys Lumerical customers and channel partners.
• Owning customer problems, engaging with key accounts, and delivering comprehensive solutions throughout the sales opportunity lifecycle.
• Conducting introductory, intermediate, and advanced training sessions for customers, and scoping/delivering professional services projects.
• Gathering customer requirements and market trends to inform improvements to Ansys software; collaborating with product development teams to translate feedback into new features.
• Testing new software releases on real-world industrial problems and providing feedback to enhance product performance and usability.
• Participating in internal initiatives to share knowledge, establish best practices, and develop simulation solutions and FAQs for the knowledge base.
