Responsible for design, testing, and documenting product and network configurations of KVH's mobile connectivity suite of products.

About this Position:

You will be responsible for designing, testing, and documenting product and network configurations of KVH's mobile connectivity suite of products. This is a full-time position reporting to the VP, APAC, based in our Singapore office, with headquarters in Middletown, Rhode Island.

Responsibilities

1. Become knowledgeable about KVH communications services and integrated routing capabilities, as well as the services offered.
2. Interact with the sales team and customers to understand their needs and LAN/WAN design requirements, and communicate technical information clearly.
3. Document customer requirements and prepare design proposals for review with customers.
4. Potentially travel to customer sites for integration testing of proposed designs and final acceptance.
5. Identify, perform compatibility testing, and assist in documenting third-party products and their application with KVH's data product suite.
6. Act as the initial point of escalation for all non-routine IT-related technical support issues, interfacing with engineering as appropriate.
7. Responsible for in-house and field troubleshooting of KVH data products.

Qualifications

• Solid LAN/WAN networking experience required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; proficiency in English preferred.
• Degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent preferred.
• Some experience with integrating networked systems for custom solutions.
• Linux systems administration experience preferred.
• Knowledge of user devices, operating systems (mobile and desktop), and common applications.
• Cisco router configuration experience is a plus.
• Self-learner and problem-solver.
• Ability to travel approximately 15% of the time.
