Job summary

An engineering solutions provider in Singapore is looking for a skilled technician to manage setups and testing for RMA devices. The ideal candidate will have at least 2-3 years of experience in an engineering role, particularly in automotive-related environments. Proficiency with various electronic test equipment and strong communication skills are essential. This role involves hands-on lab management, equipment maintenance, and reporting incuding compiling test results and managing RMA inventory.

Job description

Technical Expertise:

At least 2 years' working experience on different ATE testers and peripherals such as Advantest/Teradyne testers, System level and engineering bench instrument. Hands-on experience on bench setups and testing with different instrument (ie: oscilloscope, power supply, RF instrument etc.). Familiar in various system level testing setup (Power, RF etc.) and having experience in semiconductor assembly, SMT and packaging associated issue, understanding the relevant mechanical test parameters and semiconductor industry process. Experience in the automotive industry or related products is preferred.

Roles and responsibilities:

1. Setup and test RMA devices according to Engineer's instructions.

2. Support remote access request (test setup, changing of device, testing and collecting results etc.) through phone, emails, and online system.

3. Support ad-hoc/special request like instrument upgrades and evaluation.

4. Perform Test hardware order, buy-off (new), debug and repair.

5. Assembly of new instruments on benches.

6. Coordinate and execute equipment relocation (including incoming and outgoing).

7. Perform/coordinate PM, calibration and repair of Test Floor equipment - ATE and peripherals, and Benches' instruments as needed

8. Support RMA engineering bench setup, upgrade, verification, modification and management.

9. Manage day to day RMA bench utilization for testing according to priorities.

10. Track and control RMA parts used in testing.

11. Track and manage HW inventory and Instrument calibration and PM.

12. Maintain RMA benches and equipment/instrument in RMA lab.

13. Compile engineering and operational reports, RMA testing result.

Required Skills/Knowledge:

1. Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written skills; clear organization and articulation of information; seeks win/win resolutions.

2.Automotive Systems Knowledge: Understanding key components and interactions of automotive subsystems; knowhow about the automotive application.

3.Electronic Test Equipment: Proficient with various electronic instruments: Network Analyzer, Spectrum Analyzer, Signal Generator, VNA, Oscilloscope etc.

4.Hands-On Lab Skills: Strong engineering lab management skills and able organize or upkeep working environment, equipment/instrument always in good working condition (equipment/instrument PM, calibration, upgrade process).

5.Teamwork:Demonstrated proficiency in the following soft skills: being proactive and taking initiative to drive issue resolution; having a teachable attitude; being a team player.

Education/Experience:

1.Candidate with at least Professional Certificate/Nitec in Engineering (Electrical/Electronic) or equivalent is well preferred.

2.Minimum 2-3 years of working experience in similar engineering field and Computer literacy
