Job description

The Digital Transformation, Innovation & Data Division (DTID) is the business transformation office responsible for driving A*STAR towards becoming a digitally enabled and data-driven organisation. DTID defines the digital vision, formulates strategies, and develops the digital roadmap to guide digitalisation efforts. It acts as a catalyst for digital transformation and serves as a bridge between business owners and technology support. As the central office, DTID harmonises digital efforts and drives complex, cross-cutting initiatives, while also fostering a digitally skilled and creative workforce. The office sets digital/data policies and implements governance and standards.

You will be part of the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Project Team, contributing to a large-scale ERP replacement project. As an Application Technical Specialist, you will provide technical expertise, support project deliverables in line with A*STAR and Government IT policies, and contribute to ERP system architecture design. You will work closely with the System Integrator to ensure proper integration of third-party applications.

What to Expect

You will collaborate with the A*STAR IT Team and/or System Integrator to:

1. Support SAP Basis Administration activities such as ID creation and transporting objects.
2. Document SAP processes, procedures, and plans, including changes, upgrades, and new services.
3. Understand the pain points and requirements of business stakeholders.
4. Install, configure, maintain, migrate, or upgrade SAP systems as required.
5. Troubleshoot SAP Basis-related issues.
6. Perform regular maintenance and performance tuning for database and SAP systems.
7. Understand related third-party apps, core ERP system, and technical design of connectors/APIs to meet business needs.
8. Manage service delivery of the ERP system, including integration with third-party systems and government applications.

Requirements

1. Bachelor's degree in IT or equivalent work experience.
2. Minimum of 5 years’ experience in SAP BASIS/Netweaver/ABAP Application Server monitoring and administration.
3. Familiarity with SAP ECC and HANA environments.
4. Experience in SAP system configurations, upgrades, installations, performance tuning, and migration activities.
5. Expertise in investigating and resolving system performance issues.
6. Ability to document SAP processes, procedures, and plans, including changes, upgrades, and new services.
7. Relevant SAP Certification is a plus.
