Application Support Engineer

Due to the urgency of the position, this role is only open to candidates who are currently based in Singapore and do not require work sponsorship.

We are partnered with a well-established financial institution to look for an Application Support Analyst. You'll play a key role in maintaining and enhancing critical enterprise applications that support internal business operations. This is a hands-on technical position that combines problem-solving, collaboration, and opportunities to innovate and automate.

Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot application issues across multiple environments and ensure timely resolution of incidents and service requests.
• Participate in the planning and deployment of software releases, patches, and hotfixes, working closely with development and QA teams.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, operations, and external partners to improve user experience and ensure smooth system operations.
• Analyze system performance and security metrics using tools like Splunk, Dynatrace, or similar monitoring solutions.
• Automate recurring support tasks and processes to increase operational efficiency.
• Investigate anomalies, conduct root cause analysis, and provide long-term solutions that enhance system reliability.

Requirements:

• At least 5 years of experience supporting enterprise applications or internal business tools, within a regulated or high-compliance environment.
• Degree in IT or equivalent.
• Proficiency in Java or similar languages, and experience with scripting or automation tools is a big plus.
• Understanding of ITIL processes, DevOps practices, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
