Overview

AFC Application Support Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical support throughout the system lifecycle, including documentation, customer interfacing, software deployment, log analysis, troubleshooting, and system testing. The role requires overseas travel to support Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), and system deployment activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interface with customers to provide technical support and resolve issues in production environments.
  • Support AFC software deployments in production, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
  • Prepare and maintain technical documents, user manuals, and deployment guides.
  • Collect, analyze, and escalate logs/issues reported by customers.
  • Perform hands-on functional and integration testing of AFC systems in lab environments.
  • Assist in system verification and validation during SIT, FAT, and on-site deployments.
  • Collaborate with internal development and test teams to reproduce and resolve system issues.
  • Ensure timely and professional communication with customers and stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline (Polytechnic and above).
  • Knowledge of Automatic Fare Collection (AFC) systems, software deployment, and system integration.
  • Hands-on experience in system testing, troubleshooting, and log analysis.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure in customer-facing situations.
  • Good technical writing and documentation skills.
  • Willing to travel overseas to support SIT, FAT, and deployment activities.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience with Windows/Linux environments and basic scripting.
  • Familiarity with networking concepts, databases, or ticketing/transport systems.
  • Previous exposure to AFC or transit systems is an advantage.
