A leading financial institution is seeking an application support analyst in Singapore to join its Group Technology Service Management team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in application support, particularly in payment systems, and possess technical skills in operating systems like UNIX and scripting languages such as Python. This role requires excellent communication abilities and problem-solving skills to support clients and ensure high-quality service delivery in a critical operational environment.
Step into your next role as a key member of the Barclays Group Technology Service Management (GTSM) team. As an application support analyst, you will utilize a hybrid of development and operational skills to collaborate across disciplines, applying software engineering principles to eliminate manual effort (Toil) and create automated, scalable, and reliable services. You will contribute to initiatives in Operational engineering, Observability engineering, Service Risk engineering, and Resiliency engineering to ensure production stability and SLA adherence for our data consumers.
This role involves supporting Operations colleagues in three key Asia locations: Australia, Singapore, and Hong Kong. You will provide client-facing end-user tech support for technical infrastructure, including second-line support for end-user technology in Operations. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, the ability to prioritize issues, champion resolutions, and escalate appropriately within Barclays and externally with RBA.
