Job summary

JONDAVIDSON PTE. LTD. seeks an Applications Project Manager to lead end-to-end delivery of banking projects and act as the primary liaison between the client, consulting firm, and vendors.

The role requires 5+ years in a PMO within banking, with a track record in application upgrade projects and experience across the software lifecycle from requirements to post-implementation support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, software engineering or related discipline.
• At least 5 years of PMO experience in the banking industry.
• Proven track record in end-to-end application upgrade projects.
• Experience managing enterprise software applications, modernization projects, or upgrade initiatives.
• Proven experience leading end-to-end software lifecycle activities from requirements to post-implementation support.
• Strong understanding of delivery frameworks (Waterfall and Agile).
• Experience overseeing upgrades, migrations, modernization or cloud/SaaS practices.
• Experience liaising with software vendors, development teams, and system integrators.
• Japanese language proficiency is advantageous for liaising with Japanese-speaking stakeholders.

• Serve as the primary point of contact between consulting firm, client stakeholders, and 3rd party vendors to ensure smooth execution.
• Develop and maintain project plans, scope schedules, and resource allocation incoordination with client teams.
• Monitor progress, manage risks and issues, and implement corrective action to ensure successful delivery.
• Facilitate project meetings, steering committee sessions, and provide progress updates to internal and client management.
• Oversee solution design, testing, and deployment phrases, ensuring qualify and alignment with objectives.
• Support change management and stakeholder communication initiatives.
• Ensure adherence to client methodologies, documentation standards and regulatory requirements.
• Mentor and guide project team members, including consultants and client staff to foster collaboration and productivity.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science information technology, Software Engineering or related discipline.
• At least 5 years of experience in a Project Management Office (PMO) role in banking industry.
• Proven track record in end-to-end application upgrade projects.
• Experience in managing enterprise software applications, application modernization system implementation, or application upgrade initiatives.
• Proven experience leading end-to-end software application lifecycle activities, including requirements analysis, solution design, development, testing, deployment and post-implementation support.
• Strong understanding of software application delivery frameworks, including Waterfall and Agile practices.
• Experience managing application upgrade, migration, modernization or cloud/SaaS practices.
• Experience overseeing software vendors, development teams, system integrators, and technical delivery partners.
• Ability to evaluate technical solutions and provide governance over application quality, security performance, scalability, and operational readiness.
• Japanese language proficiency is advantageous for liaising with Japanese speaking business stakeholders and regional teams.
