Short Description

In this position, the candidate will provide application support in the following areas:

  • Analyse and troubleshoot customers' issues via phone/email and site support
  • Understand and analyze customer requirements concerning product/solution capabilities and specifications
  • Collaborate with both sales departments and customers to identify technical requirements, develop solutions, and design & develop applications that effectively accomplish customers' needs and objectives
  • Plan, provide, and deliver training on existing and new products, applications, and competitive information for different stakeholders, which include customers, partners, salespeople, and engineers of both OMRON and Business partners
  • Develop, update and disseminate technical guides & tips to increase the knowledge and skill level of the sales force via the company intranet and/or electronic newsletter
  • Evaluate newly released products and develop/modify new product training kits or training materials through coordination with Headquarters
  • Support sales reps with on-site demonstration and programming for customers as needed

Requirements

  • Diploma/degree in Engineering discipline (Mechatronics/Electrical)
  • Preferably 2 years of working experience in a technical field
  • Strong technical knowledge in automation industry (PLC, HMI)
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues
  • Effective communication skills to interact with customers and internal teams
  • Highly adaptable and flexible to adapt to changing technologies and environments
  • Capable to collaborate closely with other functions
  • Willingness to travel to customer sites for on-site support, as required
  • Passion for automation, with creative and adaptive approaches
  • Possess a can-do attitude and work in a fast-paced environment
